KinAct: the attentive social game demonstration
نویسنده
چکیده
In this paper we present the demonstration of an intelligent game system capable of selecting the players who exhibit the most outstanding behavior from groups of people playing on a network. The system uses both static and dynamic features extracted from the upper part of the players’ bodies such as symmetry, contraction index, motion index or height. Those features are extracted using the RGB-D Kinect sensor and their relative contrast and time evolution enable an adaptive selection of the most salient or different behavior without any complex rules.

Kinact: a Saliency-based Social Game
In this paper we discuss the design of an intelligent game system capable of selecting the players who exhibits the most outstanding behavior from groups of people playing on a network. Players can be all in the same place (maximum 3) or in several locations if connected to the web. In that way, the total amount of players can be very large. Tests were made with 3 players in a single location a...

متن کاملAttentive Interfaces for Multiple Monitors
The use of multiple monitors is becoming popular but it creates problems for pointer movement, window management, and control of applications. We suggest combining the standard input devices of keyboard and mouse with attentive user interface techniques. A user’s work with conventional input devices will naturally be based around a focal region, but that focus can be rapidly transferred in resp...
متن کاملSocial learning from humans or conspecifics: differences and similarities between wolves and dogs
Most domestication hypotheses propose that dogs have been selected for enhanced communication and interactions with humans, including learning socially from human demonstrators. However, to what extent these skills are newly derived and to what extent they originate from wolf-wolf interactions is unclear. In order to test for the possible origins of dog social cognition, we need to compare the ...
متن کاملRandom Boolean Networks and Evolutionary Game Theory
Recent years have seen increased interest in the question of whether it is possible to provide an evolutionary game theoretic explanation for certain kinds of social norms. I sketch a proof of a general representation theorem for a large class of evolutionary game theoretic models played on a social network, in hope that this will contribute to a greater understanding of the long-term evolution...
